Hello and welcome to the online home of Crazy helen.
I am Mix Media artist heavily involved in painting and weaving using Found Objects while exploring Colour and Shapes.
As a child I was
allways collecting and making scrap books and
going to jumble sales. This was the building blocks for my passion of art, and this was then developed further in school where I lived for my art lessions.
After school I
went on to study at Kingston Art College for 3 years and then i went on to
study in south wales at Carmarthan College of Tec and Arts for
2 years.
I then moved back
home to london and have been working in retail for 12 years working as a window
dresser, sales assisstant, personal shopper and store manager. Through out my
working life i have done all sorts of courses from colour healing, fashion stying , art and computer evening courses.
In 2007 i went
traverling for 2 months around europe, and my inspiration comes from all the different cultures i experienced.
As my art progresses to more complex forms, i believe i need to constantly challenge myself, so I visit art
gallerys and exhibitions for inspiration. Artist such as
Sandra Meech and Margaret Beal are craft books from the
70's which inspired me to get involved and let my creative talent develop.
